I was born and raised in Irvine, California. Growing up, many of my peers and mentors were tied to the medical community. Thus, a lot of my formative years leading up through my undergraduate years were spent focusing on getting into medical school to become an MD. However, during and after the pandemic, I became more interested in tackling systemic public health issues such as addressing medical workforce shortages, healthcare access inequity, and environmental health issues. I moved to Reno in 2022 to pursue my master’s degree in epidemiology through the University of Nevada, Reno. In 2024, I graduated with my MPH in epidemiology. Through the MPH program and through my work with Northern Nevada Public Health in a Sun Valley improvement project, I demonstrated my commitment and resolve to protect and improve the well-being of others by highlighting and addressing gaps in community needs.

In February of 2025, I officially joined AHEC as the Community Health Worker Coordinator. Through my new role, I am excited to continue my vow in addressing and improving healthcare access/quality by mentoring and connecting future healthcare professionals to new opportunities. Outside of work, I like to spend my free time outdoors, with friends, and at Mesa Rim to train for sports climbing. I also like learning new things, whether it’s new skills, information from other fields of study, or even taking up new hobbies. I want to stay as well-rounded and versed as possible because a Jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
