I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno, double majoring in Public Health and Psychology. After graduation, I plan to pursue a Master of Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology. Born and raised in Nevada, I’ve lived in Las Vegas, Reno, and Washoe Valley—experiencing both metropolitan and rural communities. As the daughter of a Mexican immigrant, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with diverse populations, which has deepened my understanding of the unique needs within our state. My passion for community engagement began at a young age through volunteer work with Pathfinders, a Children’s Ministry.
Each month, my family and I would buy, cook, and serve meals to K–12 students facing food and housing insecurity. That early exposure to service continued through college, where I became involved in student organizations focused on outreach, volunteering, and community service. I joined High Sierra AHEC in February 2025 as a Health Equity Intern and now serve as a Program Coordinator. In this role, I am committed to promoting equity by fostering cultural competency and cultural humility among healthcare professionals and the communities we serve across Nevada. When I’m not working or studying you can find me skiing, working out, enjoying Tahoe, or spending time with my friends and family.
