Join us in shaping the future of healthcare by engaging with local communities, participating in clinical experiences, and supporting High Sierra AHEC’s K-12 pathway programs. Volunteering with community-based organizations and participating in impactful activities will not only enhance your skills but also contribute to building a stronger healthcare workforce in Nevada.
Program Commitments
To ensure a meaningful and impactful experience, participants in our program are expected to complete the following requirements each semester (Fall & Spring):

20 Total Hours Per Semester, broken down as follows

10 hours of required activities

5 hours working with community partners
-
5 hours participating in AHEC-related programming

Meetings: Participants must attend at least two meetings per semester to stay engaged and informed.

Pre-Professional Health Summit: Participants are required to be actively involved by serving on a committee for the Pre- Professional Health Summit.

Regular Communication: Maintain consistent communication with your program coordinator to ensure alignment and support throughout the semester.
