Healthcare Heroes Camp

Join us for Healthcare Heroes Camp, a week-long adventure where students explore various careers in public health and healthcare! Campers will dive into hands-on activities such as banana suturing, heart dissection, and DNA extraction while learning about the science behind these techniques. They will also hear from guest speakers, including healthcare professionals, who will share their expertise and insights into the diverse and rewarding healthcare field.

This camp, led by High Sierra AHEC, offers students an opportunity to discover their interests in healthcare while incorporating key STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) concepts. Through interactive learning and real-world applications, campers will begin to understand the essential roles healthcare workers play in making a difference in their communities.
