The Student Ambassador program has always been dedicated to fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals in Nevada. Recently, we’ve taken a significant step forward by partnering with TRiO, a program that serves first-generation undergraduate students. This collaboration has connected our Student Ambassador program with TRiO’s medical student cohort, creating a mutually beneficial relationship. By integrating TRiO students into our program, we’re offering them valuable clinical and healthcare-related volunteer opportunities, while expanding the reach of our ambassador community.
Current Collaboration:
One of the key opportunities available to these students is a volunteer rotation with Community Health Alliance (CHA), a local nonprofit organization that provides healthcare services to underserved populations. Currently, several TRiO students are participating in their rotations, gaining hands-on experience while supporting community health initiatives. This is an exciting step for both programs, as it helps TRiO students develop their clinical skills and builds a stronger foundation for our future healthcare workforce.
Get Involved:
If you’re interested in getting involved, there are two key ways to participate. First, if you have clinical or healthcare-related volunteer opportunities available, we’d love to connect with you. By offering these experiences to our Student Ambassadors, you can play a direct role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Secondly, if you’re a student looking to make a meaningful impact and gain valuable experience, consider becoming a Student Ambassador. We’re always looking for passionate individuals to join our community.
