Fund for Resilient Nevada: Project Rise

High Sierra AHEC is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Fund for Resilient Nevada grant for Project Rise, which will run from December 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027. This vital funding will enable us to enhance our pathway curriculum by integrating opioid abatement initiatives, including stigma reduction and prevention strategies. These enhancements will benefit all levels of our programs, from K-12 through undergraduate and graduate education, and extend to our provider partners.

Through Project Rise, we will strengthen existing community partnerships and forge new alliances in the opioid prevention field. Additionally, we will collaborate with underserved communities to incorporate opioid and substance use content into hands-on activities, while also recruiting providers to raise awareness and support participation in the expanded training opportunities.
